Ruining The Perfect Marriage?

This week we have had quite a few people come in and do things with out their better half knowing about it.

Couple number one: lets start by saying that her reputation is not the best in the world, if you know what i mean. She made a comment once that he was just a bank account to her. He works out of state and has a loan with us. When it came due i called him and he said she would be in to pay the loan. She never showed up and i called him the next day. This went on for over a couple of weeks. Finally I had enough and informed him about her comments and her past relationship with another customer. He blew his top and said he would call me back. A couple of days latter she came in to tell us that he had left her.

Couple number two: They both work full time and have kids. It turns out that she likes to go out partying all the time with her friends and leave him at home with the kids. Now he isn't Mr. Innocent either while she is out with her friends he is out spending money faster than they can both make it. The loan with us is in her name and he calls the other day to say that they are getting a divorce and wanted to know if he would be liable for the loan. The loan and the check used for the loan are both in her name so he isn't liable for it. She calls to tell us about the divorce and ask the same question. We tell her that she is responsible for it not him. She then informed us that she was going to try to make him pay for half the loan in the divorce.

Couple number three: She comes in to get a loan without his knowledge. Four days latter she shows up with him to get a loan in his name. So naturally you would think she told him about the loan right! Wrong!  My Assistant says to her don't forget you are due Saturday he turns to her and calls her a lying whore right in front of us and he storms out of the store.

The moral of the story, Either make sure that the left hand know what the right is doing or is it make sure that the right knows what the left is doing.  Maybe it is cover your tracks and leave no loose strings.

She had to take a nerve pill!!!!!

Today I got in contact with a customer that was a month late on a loan with us. Over the past few weeks she had yelled at me on the phone and hung up on me several times. Today I told her that i would have to go have a talk with the D.A. if she didn't show up today. She claimed she did not have a way to get to our store. At this point she was very worried about going to jail monday. My assistant drove over 50 miles one way to collect on a loan. When she got there the woman answered the door shaking and told my assistant that she had to take a nerve pill because of me!!!

In the end my assistant collected on the loan and all is well....

The Basics....

I work for a company that fiances household items and gives payday loans. This will be a blog of the adventures that happen from day to day. Here is a little background there are seven of us that work in this store, five males and two females. We deal in sales of furniture, appliances and electronics also issuing loans. A big part of the job is collections and is where a lot of interesting things happen.

Hope you enjoy!!
